Wrecktastic – Cake Wrecks
If ever I had a kindred spirit – it’s Cake Wrecks blogger Jen Yates. She makes me smile, she makes me laugh – she just totally gets me. Oddly enough, we have never met. But I can tell that we have something in common- Wondering what the heck is wrong with people?!?!?

Cake Wrecks started out in May of 2008 as a blog purely for Jen’s amusement. She posts and comments on professional cakes that are …. well…. just awful – Wrecktastic if you will. However, on Sundays she has Sunday Sweets – gorgeous cakes that almost make you forget the pain of the rest of the week. I said “almost”. But Sunday is a welcome sight for sore eyes – literally …. oh I crack myself up.
Since it’s hilarious inception, Jen has built quite a following – and rapidly! So quickly has her nerdtatastic opinion grown that agents were clamoring to have her blog turned into a book. Well, someone succeeded and Cake Wrecks the book, is a reality. I have my name on a waiting list at the library- impatiently awaiting my turn to read, turn pages and laugh at others’ bonehead cake decorating. *Maybe I’ll buy a copy when I get my tax refund – thanks government

There are numerous Cake Wrecks to look at, since she posts every day *high-five and jump and exclaim “Awesome!*- you should follow this blog because it’s oh so worth it. When you are having a bad day- pull up the blog or buy the book to remind yourself how smart and talented you are.
And don’t forget about Sunday Sweets too…
