An Apple A Day
For Teacher Appreciation at my kids’ school, I made a cake – surprising isn’t it 
In keeping with the teacher tradition of giving apples – I made a big cake in the shape of an apple.
The cake was Apple Cinnamon with Vanilla Buttercream. Covered in red fondant, I then watered down some red color gel with vodka (no taste or inebriation) to paint onto the fondant to create the streaked apple skin look. The leaves and stem were made of fondant as well. Pretty simple and oh so yummy
