You’ve seen her on TLC and her remarkable books – THE Colette Peters!
She, like all of my inspirational cakers, is a phenom with cake art. She has been the owner of Colette’s Cakes, a specialty cake company in New York City, since 1989. Her humble beginning as an 8 year- old living in Chicago, started out making cakes and experimenting in the kitchen.
She even has her Master’s from Pratt University for Painting – holy cow!
And then she worked at Tiffany & Co. for 8 years!
What a fantastic career 
In addition to her busy cake making life – she has written 5 books about her fantastic talent and creations. My favorite being the most recent Cakes To Dream On (2004)
She has been on TLC in the Ultimate Cake Off and she always has superb cakes – hence her being chosen to participate.
