Oh Shannon – we LOVED the cake. Everyone was amazed at how beautiful it turned out – and really, had you not told us that there was a ‘caketastrope’, we would have never even known! I am already thinking about what kind of cake Sofie needs for her 2nd Birthday! Thank you so much for making such a beautiful cake for her birthday!

Hey Carmen,

I’m so excited that you liked it! The banana cake is my favorite

I love peanut butter and banana together, but I totally get how it may distract from the awesome banana flavor. Walnuts would be a lovely addition and the cream cheese frosting would be delicious!

This cake is delicious, banana bread in form of a cake that’s exacly what it is. My sister loved it!

I used peanut butter frosting which I think over powered the banana flavor of the cake a little. Next time I am going to add walnuts to the cake batter and try it with either cream cheese frosting or whip cream frosting.

Depending on your taste buds – Peanut Butter Buttercream, Caramel Buttercream, Rum Buttercream — or even Chocolate Ganache or Cream Cheese Buttercream!
